Carolinas Show Hunter Hall of Fame
Induction and Award Ceremony Set for June 10

Tryon, NC, May 9, 2022––The Tryon Riding & Hunt Club (TR&HC) announces
the Carolinas Show Hunter Hall of Fame’s newest inductees and award winners.
After a two-year hiatus, TR&HC is pleased to once again honor outstanding show
hunters and horsemen with ties to the Carolinas. The induction and award
ceremony are set for 5 p.m., Friday, June 10, 2022 at the Legends Club Terrace
at the Tryon International Equestrian Center.
The inductees are:

  • All Mine, Thoroughbred, owned by Neely Bates.
  • Charade, Registered Appendix Quarter horse, owned by Neely Bates.
  • Lyphard Cay, Thoroughbred, owned by Sherry Robertson.
  • Naute Mia, Thoroughbred, owned by Jarrett Schmid.
Marie Reynolds (posthumously) will receive the Janet Peterson Memorial Trophy Award.

Merlin’s Magic owned by Jennifer Smith will receive the Elma Garcia Award.

The ceremony is open to the public for everyone who loves horses. “It’s a ceremony, a
party, a time for laughs and storytelling all rolled into one,” says TR&HC member
and Hall of Fame co-founder Joann Loheac. “Be part of the festivities! We
encourage everyone to come to pay tribute to exceptional horses/people from the
show hunter community.”

Following the ceremony, attendees can stay and watch the $40,000 International
Hunter Derby which begins at 7:30 p.m.

The event includes dinner, compliments of the Tryon Riding & Hunt Club and a
