2017 Awards

Elma Garcia Award
At the inaugural CSHHF induction ceremony, naming rights for an annual award
given to an exemplary horse that showed in the Adult Amateur or Children’s Hunter division were auctioned off as a fundraiser. Mr Cannavino topped the bidding, naming the trophy “The Elma Garcia Award” in his wife’s honor. Elma Garcia is an accomplished amateur dressage rider. In 2017 she won the US Dressage Finals in the adult amateur division of Prix St. George and Intermediare I. Professionally she is an award winning director of commercials. Both she and her husband moved to the Tryon area in 2017.
